Hotel Piran is a family-owned hotel which was built back in 1913. With more than 100 years of hospitality tradition it had undergone a major reconstruction last year which boosted entire decor and overall service. It is located right on the beautiful coast and thus offers a magnificent view of the sea with direct access to the beach front.  The hotel offers massage but in autumn plans on expanding the spa zone to larger dimensions. For now stroll around the historical town to soak up the atmosphere or try some of the local dishes with unique touch of Mediterranean. 


The perfect location allows the visitors to enjoy a remarkable view of the sea or the city of Piran in 74 rooms (single and double) and 15 spacious suites. The rooms and designed in light wooden colors and feature satellite TV, hairdryer, WI FI, minibar and safety box. Due to the city restrictions, visitors leave their cars in parking garage which is on the outskirt of the city; Hotel Piran has negotiated a significant discount of 50 % from the parking fee.

In dinner time, it changes to a la carte style with selection of local fish, meat and deserts. During our stay at Hotel Piran, we had a chance to try some of the signature dishes: as a starter strigoli with shrimps and truffles, main course filet of sea bass with grilled vegetables and stuffed dumpling and desert chocolate souffle with sour cherry cream; all of that accompanied by Malvazija – Slovenian famous wine. Next morning we enjoyed breakfast served on the terraces with selection of local products, delicious coffee and fresh fruits and juices.

After day spent at the beach or simply wandering around, try some of the massage procedures with coconut butter, chocolate or lava stones. Rewarded your body with new energy, head to the rooftop bar which opens at 19.00 and runs till midnight where you can enjoy your glass of wine, mojito or try some of their cocktails. We personally loved Hugo which was a combination of sweet sparkling wine, slice of lime and mint. If you still got some energy left, you can visit some of the major attractions of Piran such as Aquarium, numerous galleries, museums and Festivals which runs on the main square just a short walk from the hotel. The location is well known due to the production of local olive oil, wine and truffles. Come to experience remarkable wine tasting tours, olive oil tastings and truffle hunting which can be arranged at the hotel.
