The InterContinental
Fujairah Resort is located on the shoreline of the exquisite Al Aqah
Beach and beneath the spectacular backdrop of the Hajjar Mountains in
the emirate of Fujairah. Whether you are an adventurou traveller,

The close proximity to
the neighbourhood Sultanate of Oman makes the destination attractive
not only for the couple romantic getaway but also for some adventure
in the mountains. For transporation and tours, contact reception
which will take care of your requests. Same applies if you are flying
into Dubai International Airport, the hotel is less than a two-hour
drive from it and chauffer can pick you up and bring you to the
hotel.
Hotel is spread over 69
acres of land, the resort features 190 stylish guest rooms and suites
with expansive balconies offering uninterrupted views across the
ocean. The entire decor is combined in light color with wooden
furniture and complemented with modern bathroom facilities and
anemnities. We had the oportunity to enjoy Deluxe Suite which offers
extra space to stretch out, with an expansive terrace where guests
can soak up the views over the gulf. These airy suites have plenty
of room for the whole family, with everything you need for a relaxing
stay.
There are various lunch
and dining options, from a international buffet served in the
all-day-dining restaurant, to flame-grilled delicacies and Worldly
Classics cocktails prepared by the beach at Drift Restaurant, through
to a fun poolside food truck, each outlet providing guests with a
truly unique dining experience. For something a little different,
three beach fire pits add a unique touch to family and friend
gatherings or corporate events.
Nama is the main
restaurant where you will have breakfast, lunch and dinner. Variety
of food is just what you need with an international array of choices.
The sweets station is definitely the place to be, even if you prefer
savoury. The pastry chef is so creative and comes up with many many
great treats. Breakfast is also possible to be taken at the InterCon
Club if you are a member, the perk is that you are eating by a private
pool overlootking the beautiful mountains of the UAE. Otherwise, you
can enjoy afternoon tea at the club and also benefit of the same
seating area while nibbling on delicious food.
The InterContinental
Fujairah has 2 big pools. one dedicated to families and another one
for adults only. The adults pool has a beautiful view over the sea
and is the place to be for sunrises. In saying that, this resort is a
sunrise hotel, which means that to get your beautiful pink and orange
skies, you will have to actually get up very early to capture that
beautiful light. The resort is well designed to separate everything
perfect so the adults don’t get bothered by the presence of kids.
Not too far from the family pool area is the “teens playroom” and
“kids playroom”. Both have staff that is available to babysit and
entertain your kids. They have so many games, space and a schedule
full of activities to make sure that the stay is memorable for both
the kids and the parents.
After long day at the
beach, take time to unwind and indulge in the resort's wonderfully
pampering O Spa by L'Occitane, including six treatment rooms, two
couples’ suites and a Turkish hammam.We have enjoyed short but an
intensive 30 minutes back and neck massage. Sport enthusiasts of all
ages can get active through numerous recreational activities and a
24/7 gym.We have been planning to go snorkeling to nearby Snoopy
island but due to strong wind havent manage it. However what we did
was paraisiling which was definitely highlight of our visit to
Fujairah InterContinental Resort. The spectacular view you get from
the top will enchant you for a long time.
Fujairah InterContinental
hotel is the place where luxury meets Arabian hospitality. Whether
you are greated by the staff upon arrival, throughout your dining
experience at the resort until the so unwanted farewell. Towards your
stay you are caught thinking you would like to stay here forever. If
you simply cannot, at least enjoy your time while being there. For
