1926 Hotel & SPA, Malta
Once a summer
bolt-hole for Valletta's movers and shakers, Sliema is one of the island's most
sought-after neighborhoods, a mélange of golden-stone townhouses and swish
apartment blocks. Covering its own peninsula, it merges into the district of St
Julian's to the northwest, and Gżira and Ta'Xbiex to the south, and is
separated from Valletta by narrow Marsamxett Harbour. Sliema is also the home
of 1926 Hotel & SPA – a unique concept which offers accommodation, dining
option and wellness oasis at the same place at once.
The hotel
benefits also from the central location in Silema, just steps away from the
beachfront and a 5-minute walk from the ferry terminal to Valletta. All the travelers
will enjoy having The Point Shopping Mall just 300 m away and the nearest
airport - Malta International Airport only like 20-minutes’ drive in a good
traffic condition.
Modern and sleek
design comfort everyone already at the front entrance. You will be enchanted by
its rooms and suites which have been design in accordance with the modern
technology. Prior to your arrival, you will receive a code which opens the door
to your room meaning no physical key card is need; highly recommended during these
times with COVID-19. Throughout your stay, you can continue browse on the
technical wave with your in-room tables giving you all the necessary
information regarding the hotel.
To start your
perfect day, head over to the restaurant on ground floor which serves a
continental organic breakfast. During our stay we tried a quinoa salad with
spices - a perfect choice to complement other items from the menu such as fresh
fruits, pastries, selection of cold cuts and great coffee. The breakfast room
turns into the Margaux Restaurant during the day. We had not had a chance to
try any of the dishes as we opted for sightseeing in Valletta but the smell
coming from the kitchen was rather good. The a la carte menu featured local
ingredients, fresh fish, and seafood as well as some steaks.
If you a beach
lover just like us, you will enjoy the superb beach club which is part of the
hotel and allows the guest to enter free of charge during the stay. It is
located like 3 minutes from walk from the hotel and boosts an amazing infinity
pool. During the day, a crowd soak the sunshine, and, in the evening, it
turns into a dance floor with DJ´s playing sets. What we loved the most
besides the views and the overall ambience was the food. We ordered some cocktails
and had seafood tacos and pasta which was amazing.
For your wellbeing,
you will find in a hotel an indoor wellness area, including a heated pool,
sauna, and steam room. Every element of the spa has been carefully designed to
provide you with the ultimate and uncomplicated relaxation experience. Take
some time for yourself to reconnect and be at peace in the aquatonic pool or
simply unwind with a good book on our tepidarium beds.
1926 Hotel &
SPA is your number one choice if you are looking for a central location in
Malta and wants to discover the history of nearby Valleta. Young travelers will
enjoy the peak of an exclusive beach club and in the winter season (when beach
club is closed) opt for the indoor pool and the spa treatments. Everyone who
loves the food will enjoy its dining option ranging from light snack to a fine
dining. For more information regarding the hotel and the booking, do not
