A day at waterpark is never a day missed! Therefore, in middle of April we headed to the Dubai’s Atlantis Aquaventure which is located within the Palm Atlantis. Stretched through 42 acres, it offers all day long adventure for families and kids.  More than 30 thrilling slides and attractions were enough for us to test our own limits, guts and to prove if we are adrenaline junks or not. 😊

Attractions and slides

The waterpark features hero slides, like the Odyssey of Terror, a family rafting ride in which riders experience free falling for a short time, or Medusa’s Lair, where individual riders will race one another through narrow, winding tubes to the end. The really thrilling ride is the Blackout, the tallest body drop slide in the Middle East, which takes riders on a nearly vertical drop from Trident Tower.

It was especially the Trident Tower which made our jaws dropped almost immediately. After initial hesitation we headed to the top of 157- feet tall tower and enjoyed the unlimited body drop. However not to forget that the Atlantis Aquaventure is not only about excitement from the slides. You can also encounter the incredible marine animals - surround yourself by countless sharks and rays during this once-in-a-lifetime experience or take a journey on a fun-filled adventure and learn all about marine life with the NEW Mini Marine Biologist Programme.

Other fun and dining options

Besides all the adventure at Aquaventure, you can indulge on the journey through history. For thousands of years, people have been searching for the lost city of Atlantis. Now, it is your chance to discover mysteries of the deep and learn fascinating facts about marine life in The Lost Chambers Aquarium which is home to 65,000 marine animals and houses 21 marine life exhibits. This unique aquarium allows guests to delve deeper into the fascinating world of these precious animals while gaining insight into how they look after them.

If you get hungry throughout the day, take a break, and enjoy delicious food options and refreshing drinks. The range of waterpark restaurants includes gourmet meals and international cuisines at the food courts, plus quick and delicious snacks, and cool refreshments at the outdoor kiosks. We have tried juice burgers and oriental noodles at Barracudas and later fingers food at Snappers.

How to book your passes?

Aquaventure recently announced that it has expanded its total park size by a third, making it one of the largest waterparks in the world and featuring twenty-eight new waterslides and attractions. Residents of the United Arab Emirates can purchase an Annual or Season pass, while visitors may purchase a two-day pass that allows for unlimited access to the waterpark, beach, and The Lost Chambers Aquarium for two days.
